Quick Spaghetti Sauce
Ingredients:
- 2 540ml cans of diced tomatoes
- 1/2 red onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil, torn
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/8 teaspoon sugar
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
Directions
- Combine the tomatoes, onion, garlic, basil, oil, sugar and salt in a saucepan.
- Cover and let simmer over medium heat until tomatoes have broken down.
- uncover and simmer over low heat until desired thickness (15-20 minutes).
- If desired transfer to either a blender or food processor and process until smooth.
